Update: Actually nothing has really happened since I commented. Some faith in humanity has been restored. This still left a deficit though.

Commented that wanting equal rights for US citizens of legal age of consent is not at all similar to wanting to murder people. I also sent a link talking about how most of the non-radical muslims were freaking out about the expulsion of some christians in the smaller towns as it was being done by the ISIS members. So basically, this guy is a bigoted and ignorant jerkwad through and through.

Why?

Easy. Because many Christians do decidedly un-Jesus-like things in the name of Jesus and now the religion has a growing poor reputation.

Not to mention picking and choosing which passages in scripture to press on and which to ignore. See Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 19:28 as an example. Same section of the Bible and almost right next to each other however one is a massive deal and the other is ignored.

That is not to say that majority of Christians are awful. I'd say a majority are good people who will give you the shirt off of their back and food in your empty stomach if you need it. And the church itself can have many positive attributes as well. But you won't read about any of that in the news.

He's a friend of too many friends. I don't feel like making it a "Him or me" thing cause that's just as bad, if not worse, than online bigotry. Real life bigotry is worse than facebook argument, but I only have so many fucks I can give and I used one on his status soooooooo yeah, that was my quota for the day.

Which is funny because the non-extreme Muslims are freaking out over the displacement of christians by the fringe groups because of similar reasons. They can be summarized as "1) They have done nothing wrong. 2) We do NOT want to look like giant assholes again......even if they were assholes to us 500 years ago first"
